Creative Tech is a new ministry at metro.  We will be “creatively sowing the Word with technology.”

We are now meeting once a month at Metro on the FIRST TUESDAY at 6:30 PM at metro in the green room.We are pursuing the following areas:

• Video: editing, videography, encoding
• Audio: editing, encoding
• Photography: digital camera photography, editing images
• Graphic Design: layout, editing, file conversion, photoshop, etc.
• Websites: site design, html/css skills, php coding, etc
• Computer programming: database, open source developers, iphone developers, etc

We will seek to utilize a broad range of skills, as well as teach those who want to learn more. Our ultimate goal is to foster a self-sustaining community that can acomplish kingdom goals that would have been impossible without collaboration as a group. We will require a statement of faith and fingerprinting, like all other ministries at metro. If you have questions, please contact brook@vaultmultimedia.com

We have launched the following teams:

The Photography Team: We are taking pictures at all events and services to post to the website, as well as learning more about photography together.  We hope to display their art in the church, on the website, and in our printed media.  One long-term goal will be to share our work with other ministries and churches.

The Computer Geek Team: We are a working on converting all of Richard’s sermon notes from PowerPoint files, to text… then posting all notes in our sermon mp3s and on the website in html and PDF.  (email John Tucker if you are interested in helping from home – PC or Mac)

The Audio Team: We are organizing, archiving, editing & encoding all the missing sermons for the podcast channels (software links)
